I wasn’t always the person you see today. As a child, I was expressive and full of life, never hesitating to showcase my talents. But somewhere along the way, life dimmed my light. While chasing a promotion, I put my heart and soul into my work, believing my potential would be recognized. When it wasn’t, I started doubting myself, taking their words as truth just because they came from authority figures. Maybe something was wrong with me, I thought.

I became silent, overly observant, and hypercritical of myself. The cheerful, positive woman I once was started fading away. Each day after work, I’d cry, feeling lost and broken. 💔 I kept pushing through, convincing myself that things would change, but the weight of burnout and emotional suppression became unbearable. I could no longer speak my truth, and it felt like no one would understand me. It was as if I was being suffocated in my own environment.

Then, my body gave me the wake-up call I had been ignoring—an autoimmune disease diagnosis. My thyroid had stopped functioning the way it was supposed to. I realized I had spent my entire life meeting society’s expectations, chasing external validation while neglecting my own voice. I had made bold moves before—switching careers, moving abroad, breaking generational barriers as a first-gen highly educated woman. But I was still trapped by invisible chains—old fears, generational trauma, and the cycle of self-doubt. Breaking free wasn’t just about making external changes; it was about choosing myself every day. 💪

The turning point? Therapy, self-reflection, and finding a partner who supported my healing journey. I devoured books and podcasts, and one in particular—Let Them by Mel Robbins—struck a deep chord. I finally allowed myself to sit with the pain, to grieve the unfairness of it all, but then to rise again, stronger. 🔥 If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be this: There is nothing wrong with being yourself. You are not too much, nor too little. The world needs you to be fully and unapologetically YOU. ✨

Today, my mission is to help others reclaim their authenticity. We live in a world that constantly tells us to become someone else—whether it's the ‘that girl’ trend, the ‘clean girl’ aesthetic, or the ‘it girl’ image. It’s easy to feel like we’re never enough. But what if true fulfillment comes from leaning into who we already are, rather than striving to be someone else? 🦋
